Working is necessary for us to survive... But what if it wasn't?

What if, instead of working yourself into the ground year after year, you never burned out again? What if the new wave of work-life balance was created with neurodivergent minds in mind?Would you want in on that?

Introducing the new wave of work-life balance

The Neurodivergent Freelancer

A freelancing guide for autistic, ADHD, mentally ill, or disabled people by an autistic, ADHD, mentally ill, & disabled freelancer (that's me).

Here's the myth: You live to work.

Capitalism tells us that working 40+ hour weeks is "normal" and should be expected. That holding a "regular job" is the only way to measure up in this world... Or at least be kinda useful.Because the only way you could possibly add value to the world is through labor you hate, right? You see, working as a neurodivergent person in capitalism is a Catch-22.When you give your all in your 40+-hour-per-week job, you have 0 energy leftover. Zilch. You can't socialize, involve yourself in hobbies, do housework, or even basic chores. (Been there.)So you expend all your energy at work and the rest of your time recovering. It's bullshit.

The truth is: Your life is fueled by work.

Freelancing — at least The Neurodivergent Freelancer way — tells a totally different story.Because now you're in the driver seat of your own work, which means you become the only reason to get out of bed in the morning. And for a neurodivergent person, that better be a damn good reason. So your work becomes more meaningful, because it has to be for you.It makes looking back on your old world that much more satisfying. It's why I'll never go back. And why I want to help you get out, too.Because once you and only you get to dictate how you spend your time, what kind of work you do, and who you do it with... No one can take that away from you.

Who Am I?

Well, hi! I'm Atlas.

I'm an autistic, ADHD, and chronically depressed freelance writer who's been helping clients sell millions of USD in services for 5 years now.I've personally generated over $250K for my business, resulting in cutting my work to 10 hours per week while traveling the world.I've done all of this while attending therapy, while figuring out meds, while letting go of toxic relationships, and while healing myself. And I truly believe that you can do it, too.You can find my find me on LinkedIn or Contra to get a better feel for my experience.

💼 The Business Owner

My main role as founder of The Neurodivergent Freelancer is to help you move away from "employee mentality" and into "business mentality" as you progress during your freelancing career. This includes everything from sales negotiations to authentic marketing to revenue generation (but not at the start!)

💥 The Overstimulated One

Due to both my AuDHD and mood disorder, I am quick to get overstimulated in long calls or as the sole facilitator. This could be my greatest weakness, but through reframing, I see it as my greatest strength: Overstimulation is my one constant reminder to slow down.

✍️ The Writer

Naturally, as the author of The Neurodivergent Freelancer, I feel strongly attached to the teachings and way I phrase things. But as the reader, you have my full encouragement to critique, question, and even criticize my work. This is to encourage what I find more important than anything else: conversation.

🐺 The Lone Wolf

It must be acknowledged that I am going at this alone, and I choose to run my business that way. You could choose to replicate me or not in your freelancing journey — that's the beauty of the freedom to choose.
